Turned up with the F Type at our local car show and it always has something special.
This month a 1 of 1 Jaguar 2 seater

Built in 1955 by a Jaguar dealer the new owner barely knows what he's snapped up yet as only had it 2 weeks. 7000 miles from new

Loved it and then thought would share

Didn't say what he paid but insured for a lot of money. It looks like it came out of a museum and went around Ebay and specialists since Dec 16

Not a kit car or replica, but a one off hand crafted car built with authorisation of Jaguar factory in 1955 using entirely Jaguar parts or hand crafted parts

From the internet:

(1954)William Turnbull Slack (Bill) was the engineer  at Caffyns Jaguar Dealership in East Sussex in the late 1950's and into the 1960's. He assisted Colonel Rixon Bucknall with the famous Rixon Bucknall Special. On occasions he accompanied Colonel Bucknall on his European tours. During this period at the dealership Bill set about building a 1954 Jaguar  into a 2 seater roadster for touring and competition...... .The body was custom built to a very high standard in aluminium, riveted on a steel frame and the bulkhead is also steel. After William Slacks death the  car was purchased by the second owner   and put into storage for 7 years, regularly started and kept in dry storage.  It was then sold to Michael Hughes who had The car  meticulously re-commissioned to include the following; all fluids and filters renewed and greasing carried out; braking system completely overhauled; carburettors and choke; fuel system; electric system re-wired; new voltage regulator, full engine service, plugs, leads, cap etc. New Avon Turbo Speed tyres were also fitted. Original 3.4 Xk Jaguar Powerplant. All Original Jaguar  running gear. Very smooth and runs beautifully. No expense has been  spared keeping this car in top condition. All receipts present. Cosmetically the mud guards, radiator cowl, petrol tank, boot lid and wheels were taken back to bare metal and repainted in Jaguar Gunmetal. The rest of the body is polished aluminium. The car was professionally trimmed in Mulberry hide, carpets, mohair tonneau cover. Fantastic to drive and very quick. Historic registration and road tax free.  The doors have external original d type
hinges`

Location is Middleton Hall, where the hold a motor show on the first Sunday of each month. Beauty is all the eccentric and wealthy alongside genuine petrol heads turn up with what they have in the garage or drive. This week there was a Ferrari Dino hidden in the trees...Couple of months ago a 1950's Rover jet powered car, with working jet engine, but sadly for safety not started
