I use them as well, when your using the car just pop the key into the non shielded part of the pouch and use as normal. Then when the car goes back into the garage put keys into the shielded part. Always remember to have a second pouch for the spare keys and keep them shielded.

I've just bought one of these, keep keys for both our cars in here and it's 100% effective, as I've tried to open it when standing next right to the car but nothing happens.
