I'd be cautious about Thruxton - they have a 90 decibel noise limit which is low in my opinion. Most tracks I have been on are at least 98 - 105 decibels
At 90 I assume most V6's & V8's would be right on the limit, anyone with an aftermarket system would be flagged

If I'm not mistaken the V8 is 87dB with the flaps closed. You have to be gentle on the pedal up to 4K rpm not to go into 'Open' mode under test...allegedly!

Mine tested as 86db at 4,000rpm with the valves closed at Castle Combe earlier this month, last year in dynamic is was 96db I think.

All good information thanks - You try finding the measure OEM dB rating - Considering all the effort that went into 'making' the sound...the volume data is non existent.
