When that is a availalbe on the forecourt I can't see many arguments left here... other than us wanting the sounds, smells and experience of combustion engines.

Electric will be here for a while, however will be overtaken by hydrogen fuel cells. Which you can top up like a petrol car in minutes. The only reason Electric has taken off is due to the marketing by tesla.

Yeah, and we have a never-ending supply of precious metals for the batteries. If only hydrogen was the most abundant element in the universe, then things would be different!

The precious metals needed are mainly from China with some in Australia and a few other spots (Afghanistan I believe has a deposit). Not sure I would want to set up manufacturing dependent on that supply chain these days.
