I just had my renewal through and it's gone up by just under 25% (very roughly), but still under £450 for the year so I'm not going to kick up a fuss. A lot less than the 50% hike the same insurer tried to put on my father's policy.

Renewed both main cars with LV. Annoying to get a near 40% increase to £230 on F Type, (after a call to them), which is still cheap. Go Compare was over £350 at best on like for like, and LV was £100 more, so a good confirmation check.

Checked multi car with LV and the total came out more than individual cars by £89, which is a bit crazy. Even they admitted it happens too often…
So not too bad, even though I think all the stats are in my favour, location, NCB, garage, access to other cars and of course age..

Your lucky my wife insurance on a Fiesta 1.0 Vignale has gone up 88% with her current insurer and after looking at various comparison sites it’s the cheapest and the ridiculous thing is it only does about 1000 miles a year as we normally use my ftype.
We will just have to grin an bare it. Insurance companies are not user friendly and are only in business for profit.

I paid £370 last year (fully comp, protected NCB), with AXA, so I'll be interested to see what they quote this year.

Remarkably similar amount myself with AXA. The recent renewal was identical to last year. (despite costing them close to £30k when I threw it in the hedge 3 years ago.)
I tried the shopping around and gave up very quickly when other insurers were getting nowhere near.

Just received the renewal for my P300 2020 from Direct Line. Premium increased by 60% but at £277 I don't think I'm going to get much better. Last year's premium was welcome, but bizarrely cheap at £173! Have I the energy to search a dozen insurers...no.

I read that the cheapest time for renewal is 27 days before your insurace expires. I will test this out next week as mine is due in August. I recently had an email from Compare the Market and the cheapest for my P300 was for £764. I am old so that may have a bearing on it but I do have full no claims.
