Scuff mark repairs
A neighbour’s bin was blown agains the car in the high winds last night leaving scuff marks, I think the damage is limited to the clear coat finish but obviously want to get it repaired. I am looking for suggestions on the best course of action and recommendations please - based in Essex.

First try polishing it with Meguiars Ultimate Compound. It may polish out. If not, there will be no harm done but you will then have to consult a bodywork specialist.
I can feel the scuff marks in one area, I am probably 90% resolved I will not be able to polish it out, so part of the question is if a repair is necessary will a smart repair likely to be able to correct it and for recommendations in Essex.
Thanks for both your replies.

I am very sceptical about Smart repairs, most are pretty poor, you can always check by monitoring their "works in progress" and make sure you examine the final result before committing.
I would most probably seek out a good local body shop and get the job done properly at the end of the day it all depends what you are looking for.

I know you said Essex but depending on where in Essex if you can get to Cambridge I can recommend

I'd totally agree with Myer and would not allow a smart repair on a car of this calibre. Get the job done properly by a local bodyshop who will spray the panel or part panel correctly, not just a thin superficial film of paint and lacquerMyer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 9:00 am I am very sceptical about Smart repairs, most are pretty poor, you can always check by monitoring their "works in progress" and make sure you examine the final result before committing.
