Great 7 months, bed time!
Evening Tel, car ramps in pictures are from Cj Auto,s (heywood). The ramps are excellent and raise the car to 500mm off the ground. Ramp model number is cr06xhd they are a little expense but make my life easy as you can place axle stands at jacking points. Regards Fez

I am not sure yet; in doubt what to do.. I planned on driving it 2500km south to store it in our house in Portugal, as I have a huge empty garage there. Given the cost of flying this time of year, it wouldn't be a big expense flying there very few weeks and have fun for a few days in the sun..
But as that house it up for sale, it would be known that the car was lurking there and you never know would like to find this out and wanted to borrow it... And it would mean that if we have a warm winter with almost no salt on the roads, I would not be able not to dirve it for no reason other then it wasn't here... ... big dilemma..

I have just done the same as I did the last 3 winters:
Done the yearly service with new engine oil.
Filled up with new petrol from almost empty.
Washed and dried the car (specially the brakes).
Overinflated the tyres to 60 psi.
Put it in the garage with an indoor car cover that is made of a breathable fabric.

I also use a CTEK battery conditioner, but only for some +/-6 hours every ~ 6 weeks. That is all it needs to be topped up again.
Not used any fuel stabilizer. I do use high quality fuel (98 ron), but I don't know if that has any "impact".
I have done this the last 3 winters, and so far without any complications what so ever. Storage time is typically 5-6 months - mainly because I want it off the streets before they start using salt, and not out again before the last salt has been washed away and streets cleaned in the spring.

After reading about the crossmembers, I decided to get mine done. Luckily a friend of mine owns a garage & told me to bring it in. I was going to do it myself but he said he would do it. They were not too bad so he removed the rust, primed then painted with 2 coats of a hard paint. He also did all steel members in that area & subframe mounts. What a terrific job he made of it. Although it will never be seen the finish is like it was on bodywork.
Great what can be done when you can get the car up into the air
