I have trouble with a “dunnock” , although my wing mirrors are in, every morning I wake up to the car caked in bird dropping on the wing mirrors and door window. I suspect the French Racing Blue colour attracts it? Does anyone know of a sure fire way to deter this activity as it’s costing me a fortune in bird poop spray
Any advice greatly received, have a great bank holiday out there chaps
Bird problems ( feathered kind)
Buy a can of Dulux White and paint the car
Or else you could put something over the wing mirrors to stop it landing

it's bird mating season, a reflection of themselves is a possible competitor. Had this problem once, put some washmit over the mirror and maybe cardboard behind the side window?

I have found birds are attracted to blue. The following works;
Spend some time sat outside in close proximity to your car with your hand up a Blue Emu....Rod Hull style. The mirror will act as an aide to your performance.
That should scare the birds away... And the neighbours

I too think this is the most likely scenario. Maybe hang a towel or something over the outside of the window so the bird doesn't see a reflection.

You may try to hang few old CDs to any close by wall / tree / pole, these will constantly move generating light reflections that will keep birds away.
We use these on our apricot trees and it works great!
