Hi folks,

as I have now had the joy of owning my little beauty for 3 months I thought I might look to get the callipers painted.

The front are like a sparkly gold colour, and the rear standard grey.

Would you recommend doing this yourself or is it best to pay a professional?

If professional then recommendations around Leicestershire would be appreciated.

Car is Storm grey. Thinking maybe red or yellow.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I used these guys and bought their kit and painted the rears myself.

https://www.bcs-automotive.co.uk/

I was lazy and did not remove the calipers but you can get to all the visible surfaces to clean and paint. Results were great and still look great a year on. My only warning is order the kit when you are ready to do the job, I got delayed a year and the paint hardner had hardnened (doh) but they sent me another FOC.

It’s a really easy diy job and can get great results
Key is to remove callipers (leave hydraulics connected) and remove pads and carriers. This way there is no over painting and all faces get cleaned and painted.
Great paint from Halfords that dries and applies easily and on various cars I’ve owned last a good 5 years

Dirty job of course so if you prefer not to roll up sleeves then pay someone

Thanks for the info. Would prefer to do it myself to be honest as more satisfying.

Off to Halfords to see what they have.
