Been reading this thread with interest, may give it a go. I have been using a pressure washer for a while, don't think you will do any damage as long as you don't get too close with the water jet.

Quick update; tried some of the Chemical Guys Honey Dew Snow Foam today

Amazing. Super easy to use for great results!

Tried Advanced pH Neutral Snow Foam.
I pre rinsed then applied foam with my Karcher
Great foam up which I left on for just 5 mins.
I gently agitated with my microfibre mitts
Then rinsed off with the Karcher (used at a distance so pressure wasn't too much)
Dried with a microfibre cloth.
Great results even on my black alloys and whole thing took me 25minutes.
Very pleased.
