Looking great! What road was it, Ronnie? If you can recall..

hiya, cant remember roads without looking at map..but heres an idea..normal route north from Glasgow, before you get to Eilen Donan Castle take old military road to Glenelg ferry..to skye on this great little ferry then onwards to Uig....Ferry then to Isle of Harris (only one big circular road on south harris from Tarbert

our route back was via ullapool then across top of scotland to just north of nigg via lairg

in retrospect we should have then gone back via glasgow rather than stirling as A9 and the average speed cameras along its whole length drove us mental

thanks jagster, south Harris is probably unique in the UK, its effectively one large granite mass, the west coast has some fantastic beaches and the east of the island is like a moonscape
