Yes, I've noticed this with my wife's new F Pace - virtually no brake dust, while my F Type wheels are marked after one outing. I pride myself at being light on pads and disks so I was thinking I was going mad.

The brakes on our XE seem to have better initial bite, but produce hardy any dust at all. Maybe the F Type compound is higher performance with better fade properties, but more dust and less bite.
