Picked up my 2.0 R-Dynamic on 1 March. Mothered it all the way home in the snow and ice. Windows tinted that weekend and calipers painted. Opted for larger red calipers but had them redone yellow, redetailed as per the red ones - so no claiming to be CR.

Hello ,

I’m booked into Brake Calipers Specialists, Nottingham, early April, for my grey standard calipers to be given the full high-end painting option. Calipers off, stripped cast smoothed, top end paint, laqcquer & decals.

Have opted for Candy Apple Red but am considering other options. White car, silver wheels. What do you reckon?

Could you take some close-up photos please?

Who did the painting & are you pleased with finish?

Looks great btw 👍

Do you mind if I ask what is the cost of the calliper painting?

For BCS, if they are taking them off the car, how long does the full job take?

Thanks!

The calipers were done for £300. In terms of tint, they were 20%. Initial feeling is they don’t make the cabin too dark and are the same level as the OEM factory fitted rear window, which I should have spec’d but decided against when I ordered. They should be able to do them in 2 days. The paint itself takes 4+ hrs to dry. I am contemplating a custom exhaust - but am probably reliving my teenage years too much!!
