So the F-Type SVR got two new big brothers in the last few days and I’m over the moon with my garage. The two SVRs are mine: one for weekends and the other as a daily commuter to the station and the Mrs’s new Discovery HSE Luxury. Hopefully get the chance to get both of the big cats out for some side by side photos when the weather improves but here is the best photo I’ve got at the moment.

You must be top of JLR’s Christmas Card list 😄 A fine display of Britishness 🇬🇧

Once through this, hope others follow suit. We will need it.

Very nice indeed. It would be interesting to have your impressions/comparisons.

Thanks all I’m very happy, but they do love me at JLR just as much as the local petrol station likes me too!

The Mrs has just come from an Evoque to the Discovery they are brilliant cars and a nice spec. you’ve got there Kaspa.

Fortunately our neighbours are petrolheads too and don’t mind the 5.30am bark of the exhausts as I head to the station, in fact they encourage me to ‘give it the beans’ as it makes them smile as much as it does me.

In terms of comparing the F-Type to the F-Pace both are incredible cars, the F-Type is the better sounding of the two throughout the rev range but the F-Pace comes alive from 4K rpm onwards and feels surprisingly nimble and confident to throw into a corner and come out smiling the other side.

The ride on the F-Pace is extremely firm compared to the F-Type, even in comfort, which does make you feel every lump and bump on these delightful potholed British roads of ours and it feels like a big heavy car (which it is).

If I had to choose just the one it would be the F-Type all day long as it’s the better looking, most fun, better sounding, more attention grabbing and the quicker of the two also.
