I have a 2021 P300 too and I wished to ask you of your experience in getting the car to crackle and pop on overrun? Look forward to reading your response.

Thank you, All the time I had the XE's, and every time I went to the dealer, (not very often I must say), I looked at the F Types in envy, so last year decided to do the jump and that was it, XE gone and my savings gone, but it was definitely worth it, 5 months in and have only got 1100 miles on the clock, as I cannot go anywhere yet , looking forward to when the Jaguar Breakfast Club can operate again, so I can do the early morning run down the A41, M54, M6, M42 M40, run,

Well, the SOTA update saga has just been expanded..... Oh what fun. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5302&p=54191#p54164
Booking in for the update was a bit problematic as the telecom lines kept dropping out, but its not the dealers fault, it was telecoms, in the meantime I fitted my dashcam from the XE, (at long last), and found a lug locating the lower trim panel in the passenger footwell missing, the said panel being held in place by the bonnet release lever, and the passenger door, first time i've used it due to Covid19 restictions, doesn't always latch first time unless you give it a bit of a slam! Then feeling pleased with the dashcam install, and noting the little problems found, the car then informs me it was due an imminent service, (at 7 months old), so on checking the OSH page, its first PDI, at another dealer before mine, was carried out at delivery to their stock on 11th June 2020, I purchased it at the end of September from my local dealer, but the service system doesn't have that second PDI in the history, then I noticed it is shown on the OSH as a 5.0 L SC V8, in Lunar grey, not a 2.0 L I4 P300 in Eiger grey. So now its booked in to see if I can get it all resolved in the one go. Love the car just need the gremlins exorcizing.
I did wonder if it was worth seeing if they will take it back and give me the 5.0 L version it promises me.....

That's a new one! But yes your car, number 70727, is in deed a v8 according to Jaguar. Are you sure you picked up the right car, or have you swapped the engine on it!bob_mcn wrote: βMon May 10, 2021 4:22 pm Well, the SOTA update saga has just been expanded..... Oh what fun.

Yes they didn't change the service schedule when they set the warranty start date.
All fixable. I wonder if the car mismatch is stopping the SOTA update (as previously stated SOTA can update from 19C to 20Cx without being booked in for garage to do it).
Obviously something amiss with Jaguars system. Hope you get it sorted!
