Cheers everyone!
Whilst having a quick look under all the panelling in the boot at the battery area, I noticed an unconnected couple of wires coming out from the loom below the locking wheel nut holder.
The wires are very thin brown and white and black and white with a white connector (unconnected) just lying there. Any ideas what this connector should go to, if it should actually go anywhere?
Thanks Rob
Battery conditioner
Finally got around to fitting my battery conditioner at the weekend. Followed the guide on here thanks.
The car has been connected up since Sunday and the conditioner has not switched to green as it does on my other cars when fully charged.
However when I switch off the power to it and turn on again, it is then showing green?
If I unlock/lock the car it agains turns to orange.
I have left it overnight and it is still on orange.
Are there just so many things going on when the car is switched off that I just have to leave it for a longer period?
Other members that use a conditioner, how long does it take to fully charge?
Thanks Rob

Hi,
I use the Jaguar supplied conditioner and see precisely the same behaviour i.e. Amber light for many days but reconnect and it's green. However, I also have a battery indicator connected directly to the battery (Ctek branded) and it shows green apart from when the engine has been switched off and doors opened with lights on etc.
I think you are spot on with your analysis re current drain which leaves the conditioner showing an amber light but reconnecting it changes to green i.e. Fully charged.

Is it safe to use the Ctek plugged into the cigarette lighter?
I'd like to wire mine into the battery, but only have one usable arm at the moment, so cig lighter would be easier.

IRR V8R,
Pretty sure the cigarette lighter disconnects after you exit the car, so it won't workLeo's Big Nipple wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 8:25 pm Is it safe to use the Ctek plugged into the cigarette lighter?

The other thread is very informative

IRR V8R,
Rob,
If you haven't already taken a look at the US forums, try a search for Ctek. I posted a couple of important docs relating to this.
