I had noticed what I felt was a few spots of oil under the rear of the car, as soon as I got the car back from purchase.
I contacted the main dealer to complain as these are supposed to go through a 160? point check.
Service manager did call me back and said it would likely be the drain from the exhausts and is often confused with a small oil leak, but it is sooty water.
I have seen this on various websites now also.
However having cleaned the diff, I am still getting the odd drip (it is oil) and the diff has an oily sheen. I photographed the diff and sent it through to Guy Salmon. The service manager now confirms he feels it is a diff seal.
He cannot understand how it got through their inspection....neither can I and I am pretty annoyed, as the advert says, they should have gone to
S*** S****s!
I spoke to my local Jaguar main dealer, who says it is a fairly common problem and they have done diff seals on all the F range
Anyone else had any problems like this? She now has to go into Poole for a couple of days to have this repaired, fortunately under warranty.

Oh and new side windows and seals to eliminate the faint vertical scratches. Thanks Tel for this advice and the JTB number.

Just picked up my Jaguar courtesy car.
It is an XE S petrol auto, in dark blue metallic with black and white leather, sunroof etc.
Really impressed with this car, I would take one of these over a 3 series BMW any day.

That is horrendous. Really feel for you.
Does your car have full service history? I cannot believe Jaguar are hanging you out to dry for 5k.
Was the car purchased privately?
I don't think I will ever be comfortable running this without Jaguar warranty. What a shame
