Yes local jaguar dealer suggest you need the whole unit to replace any of the bulbs which is crazy but you seem to be arriving at the same juncture. Was the unit cheaper than £96 as offered by jaguar direct? Can you let me know the link and how you get on installing? Thanks
Yeah. I got the same £79 plus vat quote- from Grange Motors Brentwood & Rimmer Bros too. I think the whole unit was going for £65 on ebay - but that’ll be used lamp units, so not that cheap imo. I found a lamp unit that looks right for £18 plus £4 postage on ebay. So will have a go at dis-assembling it this w/e.

OK. Easy and super quick when you know how. Thin, bendy but strong kitchen knife used to pop out the 4 covers to reveal 4 x T30 fasteners. See foto - you need to go in at the corner of each cover and work out a lug and then the other 3 lugs follow easily. Once the sub-assembly is hanging by its wire the LED light unit’s spring clip comes out easily. Now wait to see what the ‘genuine’ Jaguar part for £22 inc postage that comes from ebay turns out to be. Keep you posted.

Hi JCshutts - Good news, the EBay sourced LED lamp unit I ordered has arrived - it looks (and its brightness) and fits identical to the one that had failed. All we need to do now is find someone who sells these cheaper than £22. Still - far cheap than a whole new unit at £80ish plus VAT. Have fun fixing yours!
