I am going to lay up the F Type for the Winter.
I am unsure on the best option for fuel though. With my classics the advice is to ensure the tank is full, as low fuel allows for moisture and then rust to develop in the tank which is not a sealed pressurised system. The downside is that the fuel degrades over the Winter.
However on the F Type it's obviously a plastic tank and sealed system, so should not suffer in the same way, so should I run it down as low as possible, which would allow me to then get a full tank of new fuel when I bring her back on the road or flll her to the top and risk having degraded fuel for 300+ miles.
Researching the web shows both as the correct approach.

I wouldn't bother either way for a Winter (assuming say 6 months) on a modern sealed fuel system
My Jeeps sit for months and months garaged and it's never made a jot of difference
As you note internet advice is either way somewhat proving it's not relevant

I always left my SL over winter with a low fuel level and a smart charger connected to the battery. No problem come Spring when it sprung into life again. Low fuel level is always a good excuse to take it for a run anyway :)

Thanks guys, low tank is how I am going to go.
Just had a superb run out, to burn off half a tank of Tesco finest.

Mine's my daily driver. If I can get it down the drive I'll be using it in the snow!

I leave the smallest amount in the tank; It loses its' edge quite quickly these days, so as soon as I'm back in Blighty, I hot trot it down to Tesco's for some more, fresh Momentum.
