Hi guys,
I recently fitted a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S on my F-Type R Coupe, and I really like them. However, I plan on tracking the car a couple of times per year and happen to have a second set of wheels (Carbon Blades + Gyrodynes), so I'm currently thinking of having a separate set of "track wheels" with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's on.
Does this make sense? Anyone who tracks their F-Type and use "R tires"?

Hi Jonas,
It certainly makes sense to me.
Better to keep your road and track tyres separate if you have that option.
When I bought my car the dealer gave me the option on some new rear tyres, so I said Continental ForceContact please
Awesome tyres in the dry, but lasted me 7k miles
Your intention sounds much more sensible

Yeah, thanks for the support!
Well the problem is that I haven't been able to find semi-slick tires in the right dimensions. It is the front 255 width that seems difficult to find. The Cup 2 tires only exist in 245 or 265 width, same with the Pirelli Trofeo R.
Maybe I can find a set of Toyos, Yokohamas or Nankangs in the right dimensions.
Any tips?

Thanks! But are they more effective track tires than the PS4S? Maybe?
I was thinking more in the lines of these:

But Toyo suggests a rear width of 315. Does that even fit?
