That was exactly my experience - I ended up losing the back end on my previous XKR because it needed so much throttle movement to make any progress at all.
But for me it depends where you live and how far you want to get before you get stuck - no 285mm wide tyre is going to be good in the snow - and bear in mind that it's the bloke in front of you on bald tyres that will ultimately dictate your journey.
And beware the bloke behind on bald tyres who will dictate your life! :(

Good job that's on here or the cross-climate and winter tyre cult over there would be be queueing up for a rant!!

Thanks all for your advice. One last thing.....is the 'fit' and size/offset of the gyrodynes the same as the cyclone wheels?
Thanks

As both the Cyclone and Gyrodynes are standard option 20 X 10.5, they will have the same dimensions and offset. The only F type wheels that may have a different offset and dimensions are those for the SVR, which someone on here might be able to advise on fitting to a non SVR F type if relevant.
