My car has Red belts ( convertible) with red seats, fancy swapping them out for black ones, anyone removed their belts? Is it difficult?
Anyone fancy Red belts in exchange for black ones?? PM me if you do??

Not on the F-Type. I did it in an older model Fiesta that had side airbags and belt pretensioning...

With the Fiesta it was OK to work on the belts and airbag system with the contact off, but this isn't the case with all cars.
Even if you get away with changing the belts you might have a problem when you switch the contact on again.

Probably its not a big job, but since airbags and stuff are not cheap [and sometimes hard to get by], I strongly suggest you
to leave this to a garage/dealer... And a main dealer might have some black belts about from clients wanting red ones...

Maybe they'll swap...

Disagree. Belt are a safety feature not something to show off with. Black isn’t visible and that’s how it should be. My opinion.

I don't want invisible seat belts, as you say seat belts are a safety feature and need to be prominent, hence Red is the appropriate colour!

How bizarre that the thread moves to red/black belts best for safety reasons. Made me smile :)

Only issue I can see is changing belts to something that is not 100% compatible given th or connection to the safety system, but that will throw codes

I have black and would straight swap to red. Cheaper than a remap for an extra few hp..

Shirley the red belts show marks from drooling whereas black belts don't?
