So today I checked Jag online for the exhaust fuse, (fuse 15 ) pulled it , and it did make it louder, but it seems to put the engine in limp mode , its an i4 my2019 , is that normal ?.

Did you try that because you don't have the switchable active exhaust?

I would guess the car electronics detect an open circuit and therefore throws a warning.

No its an R dyn so I have the active exhaust , but pulling the fuse opens the valve 100% all of the time the button opens the valve according to revs , so its louder on tick-over etc .

Does putting the fuse back clear the limp mode?

The valves are open as default and only close when vacuum builds up after the car is started. Would it not be better to just disconnect the vacuum pipes and blank them off. This would result in valves always being open eliminating the need to remove the fuse. Just an idea

Yes pop in the fuse back in and dont remove it again, it puts the car in limp mode, i changed my system on my 2.0 and blocked the vacuum pipe. I pulled the fuse incase anything would happen but it went to limp mode, so i put it back. Just block the pipe. I have the rear box removed and straight pipes out to 2, 4" tailpipes. I never use the active exhaust button
