335 v 375bhp

So, I am researching the differences between the 3.0 V6S engine variations. Apart from 0.2 seconds difference 0-60 and a 10mph too end difference, there is not much between them although the cost difference is large.
So, my question is, can you buy a 335 bhp model and then have it remapped to a 375 bhp or is there much more involved??
Kind Regards

Stuart

There are all sorts of maps and associated upgrades to the charger and exhaust to take the V6 to 450bhp+

Here is one such company who for £985 will take your 340 V6 base to 400bhp (the same as a 400 sport).

Obviously the mod will delete any remaining warranty on your drivetrain, engine and gearbox. And obviously you need to consider brakes and other components and of course a mod friendly insurance company.

There’s a lot of differences other than the power output !
I’m no expert but the 380 has limited slip differential, dynamic suspension and active exhaust for starters. I have only driven the 340 briefly so I’m not qualified to comment but most expert reviews suggest the handling is significantly better in the 380.
There’s no bad f type.
You pays your money and you takes your choice 😎

Thanks for the info, I was unaware the 335 did not have the lsd and dynamics as the 375. More homework needed. Will definitely oook into the mapping mods though, still looking for right F Type at the moment.

Differences between 340 and 380 change by year so you need to check exactly
For sure you can remap or chip any to 400hp, but it's never an 'S'

Aside those mentioned above that are mainly correct (subject to the year) plus larger brakes, you generally get a better spec from buyers who choose the S. Same with V8 over V6. This can be anything from seats to audio, paint colours, CF parts, type of lights fitted, etc.

You'll see as you look at more and eventually find the one you want
