Can't get it fixed!

My F-Type 400 sport which I have owned for 2 years from new and done just 7,700 miles has now been at my Jaguar dealership since 1st May with a solid misfiring fault. As of today they are no nearer to diagnosing the fault than the day it went in. Does anyone have any ideas as to what actions I can take as I have lost all faith in Jaguar...............

Thanks SCM, but I was thinking more along the lines of Jaguar or the dealer doing the decent thing and buying it back at a fair price!

I cannot believe in 1 month they haven't changed all the injectors and got it sorted?
I feel for you, everyone's worst nightmare.
Sets alarm bells off as my warranty is due to expire in 2 months🤔

Can you demand they get a Jaguar technician out from the factory?
Have you spoken to Jaguar CRC?

What error codes are being shown on the diagnostics?

Hello Tel,
Sometimes I wonder Jaguar dealership interest in sorting out any significant problems or want to do the service only.

If the computer doesn't tell them what to do they seem a bit lost. I was without my car for 4 days while the dealer replaced the telematics unit to "fix" a problem that turned out to be caused by an incompatible phone (the remote app wouldn't connect to the car). Poor diagnostic abilities, some techs.

You should be phoning twice a day or going in. They have not been working on it for a month, that's for sure. Its probably lying there, being looked at when they have a few minutes to spare. Make a nuisance of yourself, contact dealer principal, service manager, anyone. Contact Jaguar as well. Threaten them with going to the press or watchdog. Go into the showroom & create a fuss as potential customers will run a mile.
Too many people just accept what they say at face value

Exactly this. I had big problems with mine a few years ago and kicked off about it - then got fixed.

It is their responsibility. You should also be demanding an F-Type as your 'loan' car while it's being fixed too and then extended guarantees that the fix will be covered for a while after your warranty runs out.

Also push Jaguar customer services hard and be a PITA.

Its the only way.
