whilst driving my 2016 v6s coupe Noticed a "rumble noise" occasionally coming from the rear passenger side of the car.
Initially, I thought that it was caused by to much Base on the radio distorting the speaker. With the radio off it has continued and is becoming more frequent.....anyone else had this problem?

Maybe a bit too obvious... but have you checked your tyre pressure / general state of the tyre?

Have you gone over any potholes recently, or maybe knocked your wheel out of alignment?

Is this when cornering or driving in a straight line?
If the former the LSD can make some noise, but shouldn't be too obvious.

I had a similar experience when turning; the sharper the turn, the more likely the noise would surface. It seemed possible that something was rubbing when turning but for once, “an intermittent noise at the rear of the car” was readily reproduced by the dealer. They replaced “dirty oil” in the diff and I was told, updated related software. Whatever they did, the problem was consequently resolved.

I haven’t had an explanation as to why the oil was dirty though.

To answer the various replies, for which I thank you all.

1. Potholes seem to be everywhere, and yes I have driven over them.
2. Newish Tyres, now with 4,000 miles and look ok, the pressure is correct.
3. The noise was initially occurring at low speed whilst turning sharply , say at a T junction, now continuously.

She is booked in for an inspection, under guarantee, next week so will see what the garage says.

Here is the update on the above saga.
A fter checking that there was a "Rumble" coming from the rear of the car the Hatfields of Shrewsbury Service Manager had the car inspected by their engineers and could not find anything untoward and asked me to come back if the noise became worse, whilst not very happy with the reply, but not seeing what else they could do I got in and started to drive away, the noise seemed even louder , so went back and said so...after exhaustive examination they decided that the Differential is faulty and it is to be replaced under guarantee.
Will update next month when the work is completed.
