That said the 4S are a superior tyre anyway, like I’ve already said.
I use the Michelin technical information as my reference, which is clear it has rim protection
What we do agree on is the 4S are a much superior tyre to the OEM Pirelli's

Anyway on 20 inch rims with such low profile the most important factor in damage protection is the nut holding the wheel

I also found the extra grip on the 4S is so noticeable especially in the wet, wish I’d changed to them sooner.

My Pirelli,s were gone in the rear a few days ago, so had the standard 295,s on the back, decided on an upgrade and changed the four tires, went for Conti sport contact 6 tires, great reviews, grip is exception dry and wet far superior to the Pirelli even when they were new, cant see the Michelins been much better, did review each, one was as good as the other. Now the car sits on 305/30/20 rears and fronts 265/35/20 with 15mm H&R spacers all round, one point is the Contis have a larger rim protector than any other tire, makes the tires more aggressive looking on too.

I'll need a wide angle lens too ;-)

Whilst I have each wheel off for new rubber, I'll be fitting Porterfield RS4 Carbon Kevlar pads all round to rid the brake dust issue so there will be lots of pictures of bleeding knuckles I'm sure!

295 and 315!!!

I'd be interested to hear what the new pads are like. I hate all the dust... even though my wheels are dark satin grey, it still shows. :x

I'm assured as I have a part worn set that came from a JLR SVR test mule that they fit just nice, and in all reality it's only another 5mm on the inner and outer tyre width (10m + overall) of course.

Anyway, bit of hot rodding never goes amiss:
