I know I can rely on this group to confirm.

Is it possible to upgrade my 2018 touch screen (with physical buttons) over to the newer touch screen

Not an expert but they have two different operating systems, InControl Touch Pro and InControl. The one in your first picture in the InControl Touch Pro, which is on my vehicle and the earlier one that you have. I believe they are not compatible. Good excuse to buy a newer one. Ironically, which drew me to this topic is that I have the four segment home screen (the same as yours) and am asking Jag to upgrade it to the three segment at the moment but it is an 8 hour upgrade.

I prefer physical buttons and the old screen seems sufficient size. I wonder why you would change to all touch screen buttons, which is presumably cheaper to produce?

Yeah, I'm a "physical buttons" kinda guy, too. Much easier (and safer!) to operate while driving.

BTW, I have the InControl Touch Pro system with the physical buttons. I believe that combination isn't upgradable (I hope!).

Thanks for the info that wasn't a picture of my car I think I've also got the incontrol touch pro with physical buttons. How can I tell for sure?

Would that make a difference to upgrading to the larger touch screen

Go to the topix site, register as an indy and you can check your cars specs with the VIN..

So, you have 'in control touch pro' ..

But I can't help you with the mods to go to the bigger screen. I think there is a special thread for this ?
