Yeah, forgot...being 3/4 engined it uses a small hand-held fan with 2 x AA's as forced induction :D

Just found in my box of docs - The 5.0L V8 refers to JTB00349v2 - ATTACHED

There are a few other Tech Bulletins for rattles!

Great information thanks. 3.6 hours doesn't seem too bad. Any idea how much the part is? I'm going to see if I can get this done with my aftermarket warranty before it expires.

As preventative maintenance I'll also change the cooling pipes, new belt and perhaps pulley (is it the same one if you fit a reduced pulley from VAP?)

Pennies - They're even on popular auction sites, however the quality maybe a bit questionable.

Yep, the coupling is between the snout and the SC. The pulley is on the end of the snout. This can be pulled off in situ.
I have a dedicated puller for ribbed SC pulleys available if you wan to DIY.

Just got mine back. Invoice lists 3.1 hours for labour (and this particular dealer is £204 per hour at retail rates 😯).

I'd be wary of buying non-Jag parts from eBay if you're going to DIY it, as I understand the new Jag components are upgraded due to being a bit of a weak spot on the V6.

Also decided to get diff oil changed while I was there as they forgot at the last service, that set me back Β£91.60.

Not too bad for peace of mind. Do you mind uploading a copy of the invoice so I can see exactly what to ask for and all the parts replaced.

I replaced my diff oil last week and it's definitely quieter.

Presume you mean the diff oil parts (not SC parts, which sadly aren't listed on the invoice although they are listed on JTB00356 which Tel posted a copy of earlier)...and if so, here you go - prices are ex. VAT.

EDIT: I should stress this is for the V6 only, which has a mechanical LSD. I presume the V8 is different as it's an e-diff, I think.
