Changing trim piece in front of wing mirror

Hi

Wonder if anyone has replaced the trim piece that is shown in silver in the attached photo?

My f type has the black pack and was purchased as an approved used from jaguar but the dealer is being thoroughly unhelpful in getting this sorted. Wonder if it's an easy job whether I should just buy the replacement part and do it myself.

They couldn't tell me why this piece wasn't black like the rest of the car and I only actually noticed some time after buying it.

Hi and welcome.

I've never seen that before! You would expect it all to be black wouldn't you? Mines got the grey inserts and it's grey all the way around.

Was it factory black pack or retro fit after? I'm guessing you might not know but if you send me your reg I'll have a look into it.

Thanks, annoyingly the only bit they don't really show is the piece under wing mirror but I guess it comes off like the others.

Thanks, yes you would! As it's a small piece I only noticed a few months(!) after I bought it. But I bought it from jaguar as approved used, with (I think) black pack from original factory.

Car number 49751.

Yes it left the factory with full black pack so this is quite bizarre.

Is it same both sides?

As it was supposed to be a factory fit, take it up with Jaguar themselves as they should be embarrassed that it failed the quality checks. They will probably tell the dealer to sort it out
