I had my car serviced on Monday but noticed on Tuesday that the service reminder has not been reset (message shows "service required"). Searched forum and found scm's post giving procedure for resetting (switch on ignition---open bonnet---press brake and accelerator for 10 seconds and then turn off ignition). I have followed this procedure but still showing message "service required". I have tried pressing both pedals for 10 seconds at the same time and one pedal at a time for 10 seconds each, but still no success. Does this procedure work for all models? My car is 2015 (MY 2016) 340 V6. On my car the message "service required" comes on approx. 5-10 seconds after starting engine and remains on for approx. 5-10 seconds then switches off and stays off until next start up. As the message is only on briefly at start up it is not a big problem but I would like to reset it if possible without going back to the dealer again. Any help appreciated.

1) Set ignition on
2) Open hood
3) Open driver's door
4) Fully depress both accelerator and brake pedals for a few seconds
5) Turn off ignition

If the message still appears, try again.

Update
Success... I followed PDE's procedure above, and the message "Service required" does not now appear just after starting engine. Once again, thanks PDE.
