exhaust pop and burble
Car looks great, and seems to be an absolute bargain for an R AWD on a 19 plate - these were £100k cars weren't they(!)
Put the car into dynamic and have a play with the paddles lifting off the accelerator at around 4k revs - I'm sure it won't disappoint

Lovely car mate, congrats! Unfortunately they are slightly quieter yes, at least while revving in P - I did a sound test against a 2019 SVR and my 2014 R was louder. But even so they still sound awesome. 200 cell cats might be the way to go though if you are looking for more noise and drama.T7MBOR wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 3:49 pm Thanks for that!
I've just purchased this one https://used.jaguar.co.uk/search#/details/3035585
Should be collecting next Tuesday.
Last Jag I had was a 2011 XKR,since when I've had a 997 Turbo and more recently a lovely 2018 RS6.
Looking forward to getting back into a Jag, but it worries me a little that people say the later ones are much quieter than earlier cars...
I'd love to come to the breakfast club when all this madness has settled down!

Well I hope I like it! To be honest I was gutted when the RS6 went at the start of March, but circumstances meant it had to go.
I haven’t paid anywhere near the asking price for this car, though it took me a few days to wear them down!
I do regular trips to Frankfurt and well remember the admiring glances I used to get in the XK. Everybody in Germany wanted to talk to me at the pumps, so it’ll be interesting to see if the F Type draws the same interest.
I remember in the XK I pulled fuse 7, just wondering if it’s the same in the FType?

Jaguar F Type R 5.0 AWD 2019
Early cars had fuse 43 to pull, later ones don't have an electric pump to generate the vacuum so no fuse. Just whack it into dymanic and you're good to go.

Many of the cars had a retrofit done to replace the vacuum pump from behind the passenger seat (left rear quarter) with a pipe to the inlet to use engine vacuum.
Mine had it done as a warranty/recall
Try the fuse or listen for the pump on start up to determine if you have it or not

interesting read, I have just swapped 2014V6S for 2019 V8R and the V8 is way quieter in general terms. Even having tried to provoke it to get pops and bags it seemed a bit tame. Having seen YouTube stuff I was under the impression it would be like waking the dead

Having read the manual looks like Fuse 15 in the engine bay controls the MY19 AWD R active exhaust
Will pulling that make a difference?

It will at least make a difference until about 3500rpm, then it's the same as before. Oh and after a cold start it will be a bit louder too.
