Has anyone tried using one of these aftermarket solid couplers offered by Powerhouse? Certainly not an expensive part, and if it can be fitted diy then would seem to make a lot of sense.

Interesting link - at what sort of mileage are you experiencing that issue?

I've also not heard of changing the supercharger oil before - is that something you would do at the same time?

Anyone else any experience on this?

I’ve not come across sc oil on the Jag. I was just looking up the possibility of diy supercharger refurb when the time comes. Mine is in 34k miles and has a slight rattle when it is cold. It goes away when warmed up.

I think folks on the US forum have discussed changing sc oil, but they seem a lot more hands-on hackers than most of us in the UK.

Just had a good read of the Powerhouse website, and they do seem to be very knowledgeable with JLR superchargers.

6% pulley upgrade for the 3.0 available.

Have you used them? Interested in your feedback. Are you saying they can’t do an upgrade, or are they not as knowledgable about supercharger as they make out?

I don't think it's that easy to DIY fit, mine is booked in next week with what I suspect will be a warranty claim to replace the drive coupler and I've read on the US forum that whilst the part is inexpensive, the labour is hefty as large parts of the SC need to come out to get to it. Around £1500 bill if you pay for it yourself at a main dealer, anyway.

FWIW - Pulley change is a DIY job, but expect to lose your knuckles int he process! Space is tight to say the least!

I have a dedicated puller for this purpose that will remove your old pulley...available if you want it drop me a PM.
