I was fitting a charging connector to the battery and noticed a puddle under the trim. The trim panels were also damp.
It seems that the water is dripping from the underside of the plastic trim next to the boot illumination lamp. I can’t see where above there it’s getting in.
Anyone else had this and can give me a pointer to what causes it?
Water leak into boot. Coupe.

Lots of leather and toys, and loads of noise!
Lots of leather and toys, and loads of noise!
I also came across this joyous find when fitting my trickle charge yesterday.
Not a lot of water but any is annoying. Just enough to make the carpet damp no pooling.
I think this is also adding to the amount of condensation build up.
I removed all the interior panels of the left hand side which come out with little problem. The right side being dry. Closed the lid again and hosed the boot.
I discovered the water was traveling under the lining of the trim outside the seal of the boot as it should and can but leaking in through where the suds that hold this trim in place and breach the out side. These studs have a integrated rubber seal that isn't up to the job.
There are three white trim studs on the boots side and one at the top which was one of my worst leakers letting water in through the ceiling in the cabinet throughteh roof airbagbehinf the passenger seat.
I cleaned all the areas and re fitted using some silicone to seal the around the holes before pushing the studs through the bodywork to seal permanently.
I've re-hose tested and it all seams good. I'll leave out the interior trim for a week and go though a few car washes to keep check throughout the week.

Hi Shag (excuse the pun).
You’ve done well there.
Will be keeping this for future reference in case I ever need it.

That is indeed the issue. Mine has juat been into the dealer and it couldn't be fixed under extended warranty as its 'seal' related, poor design if you ask me.
I fixed mine by taking the interior boot trim out and selaing from beneath - seems ok for now.
Btw, the dealer wanted over £1000 to fix!
