I have the following issues on my reader. These came on all at the same time. Thick white smoke out the exhaust on start up, feels shaky. Engine cuts out before idel...

DTC: P0191,Fuel rail pressure sensor circuit, range/performance
DTC: P228F,Fuel pressure regulator 1 - Exceeded learning limits - Too high
DTC: P0087,Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low
DTC: P014A,Heated oxygen sensor - Delayed response - Rich to lean - Bank 2 sensor 2
DTC: P0300,Random Misfire Detected
DTC: P0305,Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
DTC: P0306,Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected
DTC: P0307,Cylinder 7 Misfire Detected
DTC: P0308,Cylinder 8 Misfire Detected
DTC: P1315,Misfire causing catalyst damage
DTC: P00C6,Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low - Engine Cranking

My thoughts are either coolant is somehow leaking into the engine.

Or the engine coils on one side of the engine have gotten wet and have gone faulty, leading to faulty spark plugs and a lean mixture.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Owen.

Stuck open injector causing lack of fuel pressure due to not closing and cat damage due to excess unburnt fuel in the cat which shouldn't be there.

Thanks very much for the quick reply :)

You seem pretty certain on this one, I'm guessing is a common engine fault ? Could you give an estimate cost to fix at Jag...my local garage won't touch it.

Is there one injector per bank or one per cylinder? Unlikely for 4 injectors to fail simultaneously.

When I had fuelling error (nothing like your codes, though) it turned out to be the connector on the fuel pump not being seated fully and randomly disconnecting. What year is your car? How many miles?

I think it only needs one injector to fail ‘open’ and this will drop the fuel rail pressure for the whole bank and cause numerous fault codes such as the ones you have.

Not sure if you've checked for an Independent Jaguar Specialist in your area but you can find one here https://the-jaguar-specialist-register.com/ Just enter your postcode and click the ‘Search’ box.

Thanks all for your replys.

The car is 2013, 30k miles. No previous issues and only 1 other owner from new.

I agree with Gusa's statement... I think it only needs one injector to fail ‘open’ and this will drop the fuel rail pressure for the whole bank and cause numerous fault codes.

The car is booked in for the 12th of October at a jaguar specialist so hopefully they will be able to fix it. I will update with what issue caused the codes

Quite a lot of injector problems seemed to occur on the earliest made cars . It looks like later cars had improved ones and even a redesign of the bonnet vents to prevent water getting onto the electrically operated injectors.

The redesign was to accommodate the AWD, I don't think the vents on the RWD cars moved.

The relocation of the bonnet vents was functional and necessary to accommodate the front transfer case for the AWD models, which required a higher engine mounting and different bonnet design.

Although the bonnet vent locations on RWD cars haven’t been moved, there are two OEM types which are ‘open mesh’ or ‘shrouded’.

Speaking of injector problems that are not helped by water ingress through the bonnet vents.....
