If Topix is to be followed with 1/2 a degree from the horizontal equating to 0.5L should one open a door and place a spirit level on the sill to check also as surely the difference between a full and empty fuel tank let alone slight settling of the suspension after a few thousand miles will all contribute to the 1/2 degree difference.
Is there not an easier and more accurate method of checking?

You're assuming the sill is parallel to the ground ....

All that’s required is a flat (level) surface.....no need for a spirit level on the sill unless you intend to brick the doorway up lol.

No issues with the engine oil readings on mine as it’s usually parked on the level driveway. This is irrespective of whether or not I have a full or low tank of fuel.

You have a screen wash level indicator.. excellent. Does the car have to be parked level to use it ? ;)
