X posted with Simple,

Before you go to the dealer, check there are no courtesy, boot or glovebox lights etc stuck on.
Is a dashcam in parking mode draining it?
Have you or a previous owner used the diagnostic socket? - May cause insomnia and discharge in your car.
Does the car get woken up a lot whilst parked? (By opening and closiing the doors - this will take it out of sleep/saver mode for 4-20 hours and cause some drain).

It's a 4 week old car. Why bother with all this - just get the dealer to fix it?

This is a problem that seems to be across quite a few Jaguar models.
With the XE there are issues with the stop/start not functioning due to "low" battery power (yes I know but some of them drive diesels so are into the "economy" thing :D ).
From what I've seen on there and other forums is that firstly on more recent vehicles the factory fit battery is barely up to the job.
The XE is fitted with an 80Ah battery from the factory unless you are in a cold climate country when it gets a 90.
Those who have had either a new battery fitted (like getting blood out of a stone from a dealer) or fitted a bigger one (95Ah is recommended by AM places) have had no issues at all.

As some people have already said the car needs to fully shut down to prevent battery drain albeit small but over several days it can cause issues.
A bloke from the US on the Velar forums had a "secure" garage so didn't lock his at all ( ) and his was totally dead after only 48hrs.

Bear in mind that certainly later F-Types now have all this gubbins which is common across a lot of models so there is a lot of commonality.

One thing that has come up is that making sure the car is double-locked as opposed to single-locked seems to keep things working far better.

Mine frequently goes through gaps of between 3 and 4 weeks without use during the winter (and is only single locked too, being garaged). No problem starting it at all, or any warnings. I also have a Ctek which is plugged in when it gets past this point.

Our XE had a gradual deterioration in the stop start feature from about 9 months old (it has long journeys weekly). The battery was replaced under warranty at the first service with another 80Ah one and the stop-start has been fine ever since. So something was a bit duff with the original battery even though there were no other symptoms.

Get the dealer to check it over, as it doesn't sound right.

Because a quick look around and spraying a stuck switch with WD40 is less bother than booking the car in, driving it in, going home, doing without the car for a day or two, getting a bus back to the dealer then driving back home again.

In fairness your now only commenting on one point of a long list of checks suggested and not really relevant to a brand new car. Sadly the days of a stuck switch are long gone. It will likely need extensive diagnostics resulting in software upgrade, system reboots, possible recoding, charging system test, battery tested and similar to identify and code out or fix the source of the drain.
One call and the car will be taken away a replacement left and fault fixed
Just different perspectives I guess

As mentioned before, leave it unlocked all day with occasional ancillary use; expect a low battery warning when you go to start. The charging systems are known to be pretty weak, and the car is hungry for electricity when it's not locked or the key fob is in close proximity.
Keep it float charged and it'll go on for donkeys.

Last year I bought a compact 800A lithium jump battery for my classic cars and it's been brilliant. It starts the 3.8L XK150 with ease and will also charge a mobile phone. If I ever have to leave the F Type for any length of time, the little jumper with be chucked into a corner of the boot. Cost £65 on Amazon.

If you're worried about leaving the car in a airport carpark and the battery going flat, invest in one of these. It'll fit in the glove box and will start the F-Type no problem. I've used mine a couple of times now, great peace of kit:

I still dont get why you need these chargers and such like. Mine has not moved, started or anything since 3rd July (still in plaster cast people).

I've just unlocked it and turned ignition on but not started it and it doesn't say low battery yet and no warnings so locked it back up. (Double lock of course).

I only went it to pop a new 64gb SD card into dashcam I just purchased to upgrade the 32gb one already in. (The dashcam is in park mode btw).

Hoping to be driving again next Wednesday so that will be 4 weeks exactly locked up and not started. I am not anticipating any issues. Why would I??
