This might seem stupid, however I have a v6 f type with the single exhaust hole and old style red/clear reverse/fog lights.

I have just got the v8 rear valence and a set of the clear lights that go into the valance, however cannot see any way they attach.

I have the exhaust booked in for the 29th and don’t want to turn up and they say ‘how do they attach’ 😂 any advice would be great.

Kind regards

Did you buy the correct ones for the bumper? They come in different fitting patterns. LHD and RHD and IIRC V6 & V8
I went through this issue when converting my red and clear to clear LED. Lots on eBay won't physically fit although will work
Actual fitting is just a couple of torx on each light unit

I got the rear valance and the v8 lights. They fit the hole, but the actual connection at the back doesn’t look like it’ll fit or attach to anything

Yes, they will physically fit the hole in the bumper, but the fittings points don't match to the bumper fixing points. Judging by the white writing on the lights and previous fitting marks they look like from a used car.
I can only assume not correct for you bumper as per my previous email.

:( I’ll have to see which ones will fit then! Any idea?

Can’t help as I had to match to a V6S with later ‘Design’ bumper retrofit.
Should be easy enough to fab up a couple of plates to bridge from the light mount points to the bumper anchor points. Fix on with the standard torx bolts into the clip on captive nuts (whatever they are called).

Hi Jordan don’t know where you got the diffuser from but the mounting points for the reversing lights are missing they should be fitted onto the lugs on the back of the diffuser see photos attached

You’re right. I hadn’t even focussed on those. They came pre factory plastic welded to the diffuser on all those I’ve seen.

Jordan,
Is it an aftermarket diffuser as that might explain why they made the basic moulding and left off the brackets?
Easy enough to cut off the old diffuser or another scrapper and melt on. Just need to check the fitting patter matches)
