Hi,

Taken a new job that requires a bit of motorway driving. I'm unsure if the inbuilt nav (my2018) with a sim would give me all the motorway cameras etc etc as well as the variable speed limits. I tend to use Amigo by TomTom as its brilliant for mobile cameras etc. Is there a decent phone holder that you guys use, my cheap 12 quid one of amazon fell to pieces ! Oh and where do you mount these on the vents or the window?

Cheers in advance.

Have you considered using a clamshell holder on top of your centre vent?
I find it very well positioned to minimise any distraction.

Bespoke F-Type phone holder by Arid Innovations. Perfect position & keeps all makes/models/covers fixed solid...

Had mine three years. You could compromise with a cheaper solution but Arid is quality & stands test of time.

Plus 1 vote for the Arid Innovation version - works and holds steady. Tried others that slide into cup holders etc but nothing works as well

Not used the magnetic one. The basic cradle is functional, sturdy & positions my phone perfectly. Buy once & onto the next modification πŸ‘πŸ˜„

I was never one for phone holders but each to their own. My work vehicle has wired android auto and I find it so easy to use. In the Jag I opted for an android auto module from JH Audio Solutions with a wired and wireless connection as standard. Phone hidden out of the way as we all know, using a mobile device whilst driving is illegal. :D :D

I have the MY2016 sat nav (with the hard drive, not SD card) and I can load a speed cam database onto that.
Check you setting to see if you can find an option to load POIs
