Finally got to the bottom of my washer issue after not very satisfactory attention from Jaguar over a few weeks, plus four days off the road and two trips to the dealer.

The washer pump was running but no fluid being dispensed. Reservoir was full and fuses were fine.

To cut a long story short and just to record this for others to whom it might be of help...the sensor that reports the level of fluid in the front reservoir so that it can intelligently transfer fluid from the rear reservoir when needed, was faulty and reading "full" regardless of the fluid level. Sensor replaced and all working as normal.

Thanks for the update - useful to know for when someone else has a similar issue.

I have a similar issue whereby (it appears) the sensor request fluid from the rear when the front is already full, the fluid is sent anyway and it overflows. Yesterday after a service where they topped up the fluid, it is now on my garage floor!

Do you know the name/location of the sensor please?

Thanks for posting btw, very useful.
