Hi,
Spotted this whilst looking at Topix today.
Can anyone tell me what this campaign is all about? I've tried google but no joy..
Would be interested as I think I have this issue.
Thanks
Seacourt.
Campaign SSM74031 X152 Under body brace corrosion
Quite a few topics on the rusty cross brace that affects some.

I have had mine replaced by Jaguar, albeit after many many months of constantly pushing them for action.
Details of the content of SSM74031 as follows:-
Issue: A customer may complain of corrosion appearing on the Under-body braces.
Cause: Insufficient Zinc-Nickel plating on current components.
New spec parts include a Zinc-Nickel plated layer between paint protection and the metal substrate which provides a greater level of corrosion protection for exposed Under Body steel components, including protection against stone chipping and other environmental impacts due to Zinc-Nickel hardness properties.
Action: If any of the Rear Under body braces are exhibiting red rust corrosion, replace them with the new part number as listed below, and submit an EPQR with photo’s attached of the concern and quoting this SSM.
It is interesting when it talks about "Insufficient Zinc-Nickel plating" given the rust on mine it would appear that the ZN plating on my original parts was none existent.

Will they be doing this under warranty or will a 2013 car qualify?
2013 V6S Convertible - Salsa Red, Performance Seats, 20" Wheels, Climate Pack.
My dealer said it was surface rust and nothing to worry about. This may have been before this TSB was released.
Some questions that maybe we can get answered
- do you know the date the TSB was issued
- does apply to all vin number or limited range?
- what is the definition of “red rust”?

I don't know the exact date the SSM was issued, the copy I saw had a last modified date of 09-11-2018. Possibly there could be later modifications as I also had the support plates and fixing bolts replaced which were not specifically mentioned in the SS at the time of my fix.
There is no specific mention of vin number, under Models it just states F-TYPE/X152.
