So I swapped out the Sottozero for the PS4s yesterday and have to say my back really felt it.

There is some tolerance on the studs so you have to find the sweet spot of the wheel alignment before you can nicely screw the wheel nuts back on.

So the question to you all is how much do you reckon a wheel and tyre weighs - to the nearest 0.1kg?

No cheating, just estimated guesses and the nearest one wins the nerd of the month award :D

20" Turbine wheels and PS4s tyres.

Separate prize for front and rear!

I think we could be here a while! :D

I'll post the figures in about an hour - I'm sure everyone can't wait!

Just to confuse the issue I'll say that the winter wheels weighed in at 18kg less in total - but then they're a smaller diameter and higher sidewall to give nominally the same rolling diameter.

@ Backofthenet - he shoots, he scores!

...although to be fair you were the only one on the pitch

So the rears came in at 29.4kg each and fronts 26.8kg.

That's 112.4kg of unsprung weight in total to deal with - sort of follows the rest of the car in that the aluminium construction concept sounds good, but the actual end weight is nothing exceptional.

...a bit like me too!

You would be amazed at how much of that weight is the tyre. Go magnesium or better still Carbon fibre if you have a yowge wallet.
