-1. I'm a Shell VPower Nitro man, especially as the Shell station is only a mile from home. :)

+3 is it?

TBH both are around 5% Eth, both are great with our cars.
Shell costs more generally..someone has to pay for all the Ferrari Marketing! I think any performance difference would be the placebo effect.
No, +4. 😬

A chap on another car forum did some testing with UK petrol, I can remember the exact results but the best fuel from a performance was Tesco super as long as it was a busy station, closely followed by shell. There is a shell station just down the road so I use that.

Tesco for me. Shell decided to reduce their loyalty programmes to the state where if you fill up 10x100 litres, you're given a free coffee.

Meanwhile with Tesco I get about Β£50 off for the same amount. My V8 and Impreza love Momentum 99, and my Mercedes runs quite happily on Tesco diesel.

I always ran my Impreza on Shell v-power and felt that it did make a bit off a difference. Only on my first tank in the F type so will need to do a bit more driving before I can make a judgement..... all in the name of science you understand!

Hi scm.

Where did you get confirmation that V-Power is 99?

I thought it was not clear but thought to be 97 like BP Ultimate - which by the way when I've used on ocassion seems to have given me more noise than Tesco or Shell.

Can't beat Tesco for value though, so my default for using the car as a daily driver.

V-Power goes in the Mustang, as it doesn't do the mileage - although still half a tank each time it goes to stretch its legs 8-)
