Brembo brake calpipers upgrade

Firstly this is not knocking how well the f type v8 stops
More a looks based question
Have had various perf cars over the years but feel it strange that the f type relies on a sliding caliper set up when nearly all perf cars use a brembo/ap 6 piston caliper setup

Is it poss to put the svr or similar 6 piston caliper directly onto a f type with a normal disc not a ceramic one
svr calipers can be picked up for a reasonable price.Not refering to the rear as this requirs additional parts and fitting
