Hi, the dealer forgot to reset the service reminder. Anyone know if it can be reset without taking it back?
TIA
Graham
Service Reminder
Yep!
Turn on ignition (foot off brake so engine doesn't start)
Open the bonnet
Press the brake pedal and accelerator fully for 10 seconds
Turn off the ignition
Turn on the ignition
Service indicator should now be reset
My independent reset mine, but it didn't reset the "miles to next service". The above procedure sorted that out.

Lots of leather and toys, and loads of noise!

Many thanks indeed SCM!
Just used this on my 2017 V6 F type that I bought 3 months ago as an approved Jag in Cardiff...
They were stunning and prepped the car and serviced it all in one day. However 2 days after returning to Cornwall it would indicate a service was required.
This seems to have solved my problem...
Thanks again...

Didn't seem to work for my 2020 P300 but this did.
Open bonnet
Open driver's door (RH for UK)
Ignition ON, engine OFF
Push brake and accelerator together fully down
Wait 10-15 seconds and in the info display you will eventually see a message that the indicator is resetting.
Feet off the pedals.
Check afterwards in the menu that the oil service indicator has reset - in my case to 16150 miles (the car had just been serviced but the dealer had neglected to reset this item).

Buy one of these, https://www.ukpartsdirect.com/vehicle-d ... utlet.html plug it in, couple of key presses later, bingo!
And allegedly this brand does'nt cause the car electronic system to ''hang'' and drain the battery.
There lots of more fun things you can do with it as well!
Fo the price, I might just have to get one...
