Try that without them, it's truly 'orrible!
Really would like them - warm smooth leather and a back that's still sweating half an hour after a hard class is not a combination to enjoy..

Looked to configure them for my previous XE Arseport, but only available with full electric memory seats so silly expensive.
How very stupid of JLR, when so many diesel XE salesmen might have spec'd them if a decent option cost.
Being an only driver I also wasn't willing to suffer the cost, extra weight, pointless options for me, but remember being very frustrated at the time.

...I'm over it now though - honest! :D

I definitely wanted heated seats as the roof will be down whenever it’s not raining! Guess I’m getting cooling seats too!
Heated and cooled seats would have always been a package since, AIUI, heated only seats use electric elements, whereas heated and cooled use Peltier cells.

Found it again! 6 way heated and cooled seats are £820 more. Adding heated seats to 12 way electric is £300 more, heated and cooled to 12 way is £800 more so the cooled seats are £500 more than just heated.

Never heard of Peltier cells before - what are they and are they good/reliable?

Thought they just fed aircon to perforated seats!

I agree Terry, heated seats was an absolute must have option when I was looking for my convertible. So much more useable in the UK

I never had cooled seats in my Discovery 3 ; been in some sweltering heat in southern Portugal and Spain.
Always a challenge to sit if the sun has been shining on the seat , mostly put a loose deckchair pillow on it
before we leave the car. But your back does get sweaty from the leather, even with the ac on..

I am looking at configuring a D5. Not buying yet since the Defender is due to come out, might be a better package.
But I'm really amazed I have to take leather seats before selecting cooled seats : why ? The D5 would be a petrol
hybrid [P400e, maybe P450e, due to come out shortly I expect].

I am hesitant due to looming BREXIT. But the D5 is build in the EU now also, so most likely no price hike due to BREXIT.

Sorry for wondering off... .. would like cooled seats in next 4x4 , didn't choose it in the F-Type since it was only available
with the custom seats and then the endprice would be like € 5000,- higher.. .. a bit steap for the occasional sweaty back..

Because they have to be perforated to allow the cool air to circulate? Not sure cloth seats would allow that very easily.
