Hello all,

long time lurker and new f-type owner. quite paranoid about car theft at the minute and wondering if anyone has heard of or installed the auto ghost 2 immobiliser in their vehicle?

any other safety advice / add-ons and installations would also be appreciated!

many thanks

Not on an F-Type but I have a friend with one installed on a TT. He swears by it.

If someone wants it then they are going to take it one way or another. I'm more worried about where I park it and other doors dinging it than it being nicked.

Hi I had one fitted about two years ago no real issue ,although you can start the car you won’t be able to drive it away without entering a code first. Great additional security feature and it also has a service mode max speed 30mph if you go over that speed once you stop it won’t start, I always highlight this to the Jaguar deal when taking in for a service.

I have a friend with a TTS who has just had one fitted - he's a fan.

Does the Ghost Immobiliser affect the manufacturers warranty though?

Do you remember by any chance which company you used?

If anyone is in the North of England I can thoroughly recommend these guys. Fitted 2 trackers to cars of mine. Best advice possible, not necessarily the most expensive, just the most appropriate solution for you.

Mark, who has done both my installations is a thoroughly genuine guy and very professional.
