Jaguar Remote App

Technical Advice, Faults and How-To Information.

After an embarrassing conversation with Jaguar security when I disconnected my battery to fit a charging harness they told me to set service mode beforehand next time. They told me it could be done online or through the Remote App. As I already had the Remote App I had a look and couldn’t see how it could be used to set service mode. I then found another Jaguar Remote App which I downloaded and that one has the facility to set Service Mode but otherwise the two Apps seem to do the same things.

Can I get rid of the first one I downloaded? Which one do others use? The one I downloaded yesterday does have the service mode switch but that one also says my car is unlocked and has a window open (which it doesn’t). The App I first downloaded has always reported the security of the car correctly. Anyone able to tell me which remote app I should be using? (Apple user)

I vaguely recall that the i-Pace forum guys said there was a V2 that was better(?) for their EVs. I'm using 1.80.1 (bottom of the Settings page) and can set Service mode from the same page. From any screen apart from the initial one Settings is accessed from the 3 dots at the bottom right. My icon looks like yours on the second row, extreme right.

Thanks, the one that I can see service mode in is version 1.180 (171) but the one I’ve been using previously (bottom row remote app) is version 2.3.2 so surely is a newer version of the same app?

It isn't a service reset, it's a mode for when the vehicle is being worked on so it doesn't trigger InControl theft warnings.

So you only get the option if you have the tracker option?

I’ve been through it again and on the newer 2.3.2 version there is a service mode and transport option, on the 4th ‘MORE’ tab in the top right corner there is a small gear shaped VEHICLE SETTINGS sub menu with service mode, transport mode plus various other options. Think I will delete the old 1.80 version unless there is a reason not to?
