I have just been through the car setup settings and found that the factory defaults for dynamic mode were set to "Comfort". I have changed these to Dynamic all round so going for a spin to check sound levelsfalkenhayn wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 8:33 pmScorchio595 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 7:40 pm Having read the manual looks like Fuse 15 in the engine bay controls the MY19 AWD R active exhaust
Will pulling that make a difference?
It will at least make a difference until about 3500rpm, then it's the same as before. Oh and after a cold start it will be a bit louder too.

Does anyone know how to induce pop and burble in the P300 unit apart from upgrading lol!

"Supposedly the pops and bangs are reduced with ECU update K309. Patch JTB495 resolves it. "
Ihave asked the question if this Patch is available to UK dealers and if can make them implement this patch to bring the exhaust sounds back

IIRC, that patch is only applicable on MY14/15 cars.Scorchio595 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 5:03 pmI have just been looking through some other forum information and someone has suggestedScorchio595 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 8:34 pmYeah not done yet, probably sort over the weekend. So just for clarity, pop and burble are a function of fuelling and relate to the ECU (type and map), including recent introduction (2019) of noise level legislation; exhaust sound/noise level is a function of exhaust design, valves (and more latterly the introduction of a gasoline particulate filter (GPF)).
There is no simple fix to make a quieter (late MY19/MY20) car sound like an earlier car. You have to address pops and bangs & the suppressed noise as two separate issues. Ive been researching this for months. Yes, you can achieve it, but you can probably say goodbye your warranty in doing so!

late 2018 model. Engine warm, dynamic and sport selected, get in 3th or 4th gear, stab the throttle and rev it to 3500-3800 rpm, let off and start tapping the throttle without increasing the revs. it will pop continuously till 2800 rpm.
Works in 5th, 6th but you will hardly hear it due to road noise.
