Good morning all
Curious about car history and would be grateful for any feedback please.
After a Car Vertical history check I purchased my first F type about a month ago, I noted a gap in the service history and quite a few owners and was happy to progress given what I thought (and still do) was a good asking price through a local specialist performance car dealer. I have fallen in love with the car after musing about buying a sports car for quite sometime.... there is no buyers remorse here but now curiosity is getting the better of me as I see from other posts on this forum it is possible for some expert members to root out some interesting detail of a car's history.
It was registered under LX15 PDU although has worn a few personalised plates during its time and is currently wearing that plate as there is an issue with the dealer obtaining the V5 from the previous owner/DVLA.
I am not too concerned about legitimacy of the sale as the dealer supplied the vehicle to the last owner a couple of years ago, the dealer seems to have a good reputation and comes recommended by a close friend of mine (he having purchased an M3 from them a couple of years ago).
The dealer undertook some work before making the car available to drive away (full service, fixed water leak & replaced supercharger belt) and I have full confidence in the service team having spoken with the Service Manager during the pre-delivery phase. I purchased an extra 2 year warranty from the dealer just in case and all seems well after 600 or so miles over the Christmas period.
Depending upon any feedback from members I may ask a follow up question in a separate post around any recommended work or upgrades which must/should/could be done...
I've added a a few photos if of interest in order to help determine spec.
Thank you in advance for any responses which will be devoured with great interest
History check if possible please

Hi and welcome - nice looking car
One of the guys will be able to look into the Jaguar history and details for you
You can get a build sheet from Jaguar customer service if you email the VIN
I'm sure you'll have seen it but both but front tyres were reported as an advisory a few weeks ago

Thank you for the quick reply cj10jeeper !
Yes the dealer replaced the fronts when getting it through its MOT and fitted new NEXENs
The car has DAVANTIs on the rear and so I think replacing all 4 tyres will fall under the 'should do' label over the coming months

I agree and would certainly be looking to get rid of the rear tyres sooner rather than later. Wouldn't give me confidence in a sports car not knowing when or where the back end is likely to go

never understand why people put cheap ditchfinder tyres on a performance car.cj10jeeper wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:59 pm I agree and would certainly be looking to get rid of the rear tyres sooner rather than later.
